Adding a New Product to the Room Upsell Category

  1. Navigate to the Products Module:

    • Log in to IN-Gauge.

    • Go to the main menu and select "Products."

  2. Add a New Product:

    • Click on "Add New Product."

    • Enter the product details as required (e.g., Late Checkout, Early Arrival).

    • Select the checkbox for "Major Product."

  3. Assign to Room Upsell Category:

    • Ensure the product is correctly categorized under "Room Upsell."

    • Save the new product configuration.

Editing an Existing Product to Room Upsell Category

  1. Locate the Product:

    • In the Products Module, search for the existing product you want to edit.

  2. Edit Product Details:

    • Click on the product to open the edit view.

    • Select the checkbox for "Major Product" if not already selected.

    • Verify that the product is categorized under "Room Upsell."

  3. Save Changes:

    • Save the updated product configuration.

    • All revenue associated with this product will now be processed under the Room Upsell Category.

Revenue Processing and Retroactive Changes

  • New Products: When a new product is added and marked as a Major Product, all future revenue will be categorized under Room Upsell automatically.

  • Existing Products: If an existing product is changed to a Major Product and added to the Room Upsell Category, all revenue for the previous year will be recalculated and processed under the Room Upsell Category.
